They goofed. They finally caught their own error, without me having to pull out the graduate school audit (which I have in hand) to prove the error. Rather, I should say one of the office staff did the right thing. The GA showed no due diligence whatsoever. I've put the ball in their court, let's hope they do the right thing now. Wonder how far they are into the waitlist.
Lesson to the Kiddos: Always, always follow your instinct and even if all the numbers have been checked and rechecked by someone, check them again FOR YOURSELF and then get someone in a position to do so TO VERIFY that everything is on the up and up. Funny how I suddenly became ineligible after the initial aid tussle.
Remember, there are Illuminati, Illuminaughti (slightly more interesting creatures), and Illuminoughti (the saddest of all). All generally horrible and dull. Occasionally, a few Illuminuti will pop up, but they're few and far between and fun to watch and so generally okay.
Trial snafu, we're thinking Thursday. Beautiful day. Think I'll go mail things to the people I love and other cherished Illuminoti.

I KNEW IT!! Don't it just feel good to be right?!
Speaking of "illumination", saw Everything is Illuminated this week (on DVD) and it was great. Lovely views of Ukraine as a bonus.
