Today it's all about getting stuff done. Went to pick-up/buy my ticket at the airline yesterday and their system was down (hardly encouraging), so must do that today. Also need to get $$ to pay the rent and see me through Bo. Maid comes today. Need to drop off laundry, etc.
Totally irked that my blue and white tulane t didn't make it. I don't find it a coincidence that, mailed separately (thanks! S), the green one came through (already opened) and the more beautiful one with Argentine colors failed to make it. You don't take what's not yours people. Things like this really do make me angry -- a marker of underlying mediocrity. Failure to pay taxes, opened mail, traffic violations, lack of simple daily courtesies and people wonder why their societies fail? Sometimes I think I could easily slide into some sort of authoritarianism myself. They can have my T, but in the Land of B they ought to be ready for 50 years' hard labor for moral turpitude and general stupidity.
And on that note, I'm off to buy my ticket.

I'm irked too -- that t made it from hurricane ravaged NOLA only to be pilfered in Argentina!! Figures that the one you really wanted is the one you didn't get. Well, I hope you're enjoying the green one anyway :)
