Dear Friends:

Don Adams, Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 has died. I don´t know about the rest of you, but I remember eagerly waiting for each episode -- in Italian, Portuguese and, when on home leave, in English. There was something about the perpetual battle between Kaos and Control and what the NYT has called the utterly "human" quality of Max that I absolutely loved as a child and truly appreciate as an adult.

When caught between my own "kaos" and "control" (or lack thereof), I find I can still smile over the episode in which a bee got trapped in the "cone of silence".
