hellish week/good weekend

Hellish week on a number of fronts. Much of it just being over-tired and under a variety of pressures. Also, hanging around detention centers and dealing with victims of domestic violence and other crimes day in and day out can take its toll. Took the opportunity to catch up on sleep and just slow down a bit this weekend. Didn't even run. What you see to the left is the South Texas Detention Complex, near Pearsall. I was there earlier in the week to interpret for a fellow atty and some Angolans (who speak Portuguese). The whole place just screams mediocrity -- security is a joke.

This morning, lazed in bed (until 7am), went and got the paper, made breakfast tacos and will now move on to my second cup of coffee and the paper. No photos to speak of of Wimberley. It's a tourist town.
