A little bit o' news

Dearest Friends:

It's been a while; life has been hectic and I suppose our bodies tell us when it's time to slow down when we refuse to do so. I've got a fine cold/cough and, so, between naps and delirium have found a little time to update the blog. Weather's beautiful out, but Nemo and I are hold up inside trying to recover from life.

I've moved into my new cottage, which isn't the most beautiful thing on the block, but it's mine and I like it. Life at work has been a mile a minute, with me driving to Lockhart and Georgetown and Round Rock and South Austin and giving presentations late into the night in addition to my usual work day, which has taken it out of me. Work on the dissertation has been slow, but since moving (hurrah!) I have managed to finish the introduction and am slowly, but surely making progress on Chapter One. After being sans internet for some time, I finally relented and had the stuff installed.

So it's a beautiful Saturday and I'm in the middle of cooking a sure-fire cold cure. Baked chicken w/ gobs of garlic and onion and lemon accompanied by uber-garlic rice. And possibly some soup. That, and more sleep. If that doesn't do it, I don't know what will!

Hope everyone is well.

B.
