Dearest Friends:Been a while. It's also been a very busy last few weeks. Work takes much of my time and I was in DC much of last week. Did get to see my good friend S, but other than that all of my time was spent at a conference, listening to government agencies pitch.
Needed to get out of town to clear my head -- so, spur of the moment, decided to head out early this morning to catch a race in Rockdale, Texas. I left before dawn, drove highway 79 and arrived in time for 8 am registration. Race started promptly at 9 am. What you see here is the Kay Theatre, which the good citizens of Rockdale are trying to restore, hence the "5 Kay" Run. I certainly didn't win, but I kept a good pace and the change of scenery was nice.
