And so, it begins

Dearest Friends:

Things a bit hectic on this end, so posts probably won't be regular again until I find my way back to Austin. I've decided the blog need not stop now that I'm on US soil (more on this later).

On the good news (i.e., job) front, my cup runneth over. Just as I was making plans to stay in BA another month, I got word an appointment was available for me in Philosophy AND I got an offer from the non-profit I interviewed with. Since TAships are notoriously fickle (and our dept's even more so), I'm seriously considering the non-profit job.

Will be moving into my new place in Austin on August 2 and will take it from there. Will post photos of that and from my last days in BA and Azul, which was absolutely lovely, when I get the chance. Everything seems to be working out. Hope everyone is well.
