BT, the translator

Well, it looks like my translations got rave reviews and I'm glad they did because they were deposited at the British and Chinese embassies. They were project proposals I not only translated, but improved upon and the NGO people could not have been more pleased. On the whole the experience was good b/c I got to see a bit of what kind of work goes on and the sorts of projects being proposed and perhaps more will come my way.

My morning interview with the lawyer went well, he gave me a lead on an upcoming oral argument for one of the cases -- now I just have to find out when, where, and at what time exactly, but the Abuela in question is proving difficult to track down. Also had an excellent interview with an anthropologist for the Mothers who is very involved in the University. Really a nice person and, hopefully, she'll be sending me the preliminary "law school" curriculum when it's ready in September. I think she'll follow through. (Turns out she was one of 3 scholars involved in the 12 year investigation that resulted in the book I was telling you all about.)

Soccer mania continues. Argentina plays domani. And the 99% humidity has passed, so me and my hair may actually be able to leave the house.

B.
