Jesus Lara

Dear Friends:

Last night I had the honor of meeting Carmen Lara, the daughter of Jesus Lara, one of Bolivia's great writers. Persecuted by multiple Bolivian governments for his political beliefs, his books (published by TWGT, a good friend of his), were burned in the plaza here under Banzer. Four copies were saved, one of which found its way to Mexico, where it was re-published.

Protest today in the plaza, off to find out what it's all about.

B.
