Fabulous, productive day.
Up, putzed around, did a little work until noon or so. Cloudy. Cold. Overcast. Perfect. Popped on the black cord and headed for the Court. Walked until I got to ave. pueyrredon, then down, and caught the subte straight to Tribunales. Up seven flights and about three hours or so reading at the library until I got sleepy. It rained a bit, then I hit the book stores around the Court and picked up four much too expensive and heavy books at the local lexis store. Got a cab to the cafe bella italia (near my place), books in tow, for a lovely, first-rate meal (carpaccio, sauvignon blanc, and gnocchi, followed by a cortado), and then my final walk home, books still in tow.
Nothing I like better than walking home on a crisp, cool evening after a good meal. Cities are simply more beautiful at night. And so here I am, listening to a little django (Topsy), savoring the day, happy to add Buenos Aires to the list of places I've set up shop for a while.
