Look what happens when I'm sans internet

Internet was down most of the day. What am I without my email? Without my newspapers? My favorite blogs? What am I, really, without my Google Power?

Result, had lots of time to think, to read, to think some more. The NGO gave me the draft of a book they're publishing on litigation efforts over the last 10 years, which is fantastic and so I spent most of the day reading that. Should have gone to a book launch party/presentation over at the UBA law school (for a different book), but after all the stress of finding the "green room" a few weeks back for SW's talk, the thought of finding the "red room" positively terrified me. Of course the point would have been to mingle (the instrumental schmooze), but I tend to find that sort of thing vulgar. Did hear back about my revisions to the Stockholm paper and those were well-received.

Will probably leave for Bolivia end of the month and spend a couple of weeks. Kill two birds with one stone: visa renewal and follow-up interviews. Just be easier all round. Also need to track down a good non-dissertation-related book.

Hope everyone is well.
