Keep running

Howdy Folks:

In re my last post, I think the answer is to simply keep running. Figuratively and actually. Purposeful activity is the answer. And it has to be structured in some way. Left to my own devices, I think and avoid entirely too much. So deadlines and impositions are good and essential even though we complain about them ad nauseam. For example, my meeting tomorrow has generated all sorts of interesting work, which in turn has made me feel useful and content even though it was initially a source of some stress. It's a silly psychological (pathological?) game of tag, but once you finally settle in to do good work, good work gets done. Imagine that.

On other fronts, found the local running club or "club de corredores," and I'm planning a visit soon to register for the run I was telling you all about on the 26th. Also got the message mystery on my cell phone figured out, so now I can know who called and why. Also hit the book store (some dense thing on deliberative democracy and human rights) and the music store (Dire Straits and Django Reinhardt). Word is we'll have rain until Saturday and Fall soon to follow (hurrah!). So, plan for this evening is to settle in and get some good work done (after my run).

Hope everyone is well and those of you on Spring Break, enjoying it.

BT

Don't beat yourself up, B - I think fieldwork is that way for everyone. You just have to get what you can get, work with that, and not worry about the rest. Well, except maybe about avoiding rocket attacks by rebel forces, but that's probably not so much of an issue in BA!
