The Acropolis, you ask? The Temple at Karnak, perhaps? Don't be silly, it's the UBA's School of Law, of course. A modest structure. Nothing really. A trifle. A whim. Pay it no mind.So yes, I got out. Trotted down down to the Museo of Bellas Artes just on the day it happened to be closed (I knew that) and decided since I'll be spending time there, I ought to take a photo of the faculty of law just across the way.
Also rode my first colectivo (bus) and the experience was far from traumatic. For 75 centavos I can hop the 130 up and down Alacorta, no problem. On the walk down I found out that in addition to the Carrefour, I have the MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art), the Museum of Science and Technology or some such, the Haitian embassy (who knows what goes on in there), the Spanish embassy (would like to know what goes on in there), and a variety of other interesting buildings, offices, embassies, etc. A good, much needed, if quick break. Just too darn hot to do much of anything.
Photos on Blogo.
