Perspective regained, thankfully

Dearest Friends:

It's amazing how much stress a little bureaucracy can generate. Or rather, how much stress I allow a little bureaucracy to generate. A nice long late-night bath reading and listening to the wind and leaves pick up outside and relishing being in K's place and a train in the distance and I'm fine. Perspective regained. Priorities back to their original, simple, elegant places and BT is just fine in her world again.

Student visa? Forget it. Tourist visa, hello! Sure I'll have to leave the country in 90 days and return, but I was planning trips to Bolivia and Peru anyway. (This will also allow me a much earlier departure date to BA, which is good.)

NSF, someone else does the hard work of uploading and formatting? FANTASTIC. Target deadlines? Even better.

Time in Austin? For work and friends and for relishing life's small, uncomplicated pleasures. I'll buy my ticket to Buenos Aires before week's end. Leave late Jan.
