Howdy Folks! You find me here in Atlanta, en route to BA (hence the lovely photo of my work station/computer at the Delta gate).
Got here earlier this afternoon and am now waiting for my 8pm-ish departure. So far everything on time and great people watching. Have plenty to read and do, but naturally I preferred to pay the 7-8 USD to check my email and surf the web a bit. I don't like being dis-connected (though I did re-tweak a couple of essays).
So I arrive tomorrow morning. Everything is confirmed with my apartment (I ended up going for the pseudo-ritzy one offered by a friend of my father's, even if it is a bit over-budget and far from the subte) and I should be settled in by the afternoon. I'm taking my own little coffee maker/pot (the Italian one), so I should be fine on that front at the very least (all I need is a fire).
Had a very nice last few days in Texas. My grandmother's 80th (though she swears she's 79) on Sunday was lots of fun and had a great lunch at the Addison Cafe with my parents yesterday, followed by a game of Scrabble and mad-dash last minute packing and cleaning -- all under the watchful eye of Nemo.
Word has it I'll have internet connection in my apartment (shades of Bolivia???), so keep an eye out for news.
Until then, hope everyone is well.
Much love,
B.
