Dearest Friends:Back in cbba and posting photos of La Paz on Blogo. This is one of my favorites, start of the Prado, very near my hotel, street/wall art, all very political and, to my eye, colorful and lovely.
Had a nice day and evening yesterday. They´ve put up the xmas lights in the main plaza, also in the plaza colon and on the prado. So after my grandmother and I snuck out for clandestine hotdogs and ice cream, I had the driver take us for a Saturday evening drive across town.
Today I was up early and decided to walk the city. Got some good pictures. Elections are approaching so all the parties are out in the streets campaigning, buildings and streets alike are awash in color -- red = Tuto, white = Doria Medina, and blue, of course, = Evo. I got 5 flowers, just as many posters or more, and was nearly run down by some contraption zipping along with loud speakers. Also there was a nice bicycle race around the prado. Got some photos of that too.
Am thinking of being in Austin the week of the 19th. Need to let K know, but if it fits with his schedule, that will probably work best on my end too.
B.
