Farm to Market

Dearest Friends:

Back to good ole ForTex. Had a lovely stay in Austin and thank K immensely for allowing me to intrude on what would otherwise be a perfectly peaceful and well ordered existence (except for the neighborhood dogs).

Spent the morning doing minimal xmas shopping, followed by a very much needed and long afternoon nap. Now you find me re-re-ordering my room to make space for all the bolivia data and -- more important -- to carve out a work space for my time here. I'm simply no good without a place of my own or, in the absence of that, at the very least, a space of my own.

J must be in Michigan right now; A, packing things up to head out the 27th; E and J freshly back from the San Antonio; De getting ready to enjoy some well deserved time off; Jane juggling Serge, two girls and Paul; and K at his desk contemplating finishing off my ice cream (is nothing sacred?).

So, it was great to see the Austin Crowd! And I hope whatever it is each of you is up to (Austin and non-Austin), you're well and happy.

p.s. Got some great photos of town lake, but my computer adventures continue even out of bolivia. Will post when I get the opportunity and the proper equipment.
