Bienvenida a Bolivia & Elections?

Dear Friends:

Well, obviously back in bo. Things are slower, tougher. All aspects of life manifest a certain kind of existence. Technology, interaction, health, food, infrastructure, general ambient, getting in touch with people, altitude -- all vastly different from Chile. All affect you both mentally and physically (i.e., I´m having to keep the WC within face-saving distance), in a way one would simply have to experience to fully appreciate. Did a lot today, now let the cards fall where they may. Have definitely decided to leave for a trip to cbba next week. Will leave Sucre permanently for cbba as of end November.

The big debate now is whether or not to stay in Bo for the upcoming elections. Do I study elections? No. Will there be a national mess? Yes. But something seems to tell me I ought to stay. If I stay, I´ll be with family in cbba, which should be a bit calmer and safer than La Paz. The question is one of degree -- to what degree will the elections disrupt the country and, therefore, BT´s plans to exit the country shortly thereafter. I´m inclined to stay on the one hand, on the other really have no need for adventure. Thoughts?

BT
